Ross I didn't really think it sounded bland! I guess I was just trying to offer some comments in general to maybe get some more personal touches. You sounded very good, especially for first posting.

Hi all, nice submissions, well recorded.
Most of you look like they are playing the piece with easy.

Jack, I'm looking forward to hear your version, with dynamics. I also experimented, but somehow this valse is not making my heart beat faster. Maybe I should experiment more with it and give it a personal touch too. The arpegio bit in it I like a lot. I try to incorporate some rubato playing in it (I think it is called that way): little changes in the tempo to give it a more flowing feel

The Sor excersise on the other hand I realy like a lot. I have no problem playing this over and over and over again.

Playing through this morning I noticed that the tempo marking is 50 dotted crotchets per minute which calculates as 150 beats per minute (at 1 beat per quaver). Playing it at this tempo makes your heart beat faster :D
I'm trying to make it bounce along a bit better.

Ross

I felt just the same.

Like Jack I was just encouraging you to develop it a little. Basically you seem to have good technique so it is just about adding a bit more colour.

Goran,

Wow...almost too good to be critiqued! I especially liked the bounce in the Waltz...that most of us I think are having a hard time in capturing. One small point...decrease the volume in the arpeggio sections...then it'll be perfect! The Sor piece is also great. If I were forced to critique I'd say that your slurred 16th notes are a tad too fast and not as clean as anything else.

Again though; overall very nice!

Wow Goran, very good, both pieces. And very pleasant to listen too :casque:
Nothing I can say, maybe a few times your left hand fingers damp the notes where they should not ,or some buzzing occurs now and then. But, really, that is not realy critisism, I defenitely do not play the pieces any better.

:bravo:

Goran, Well done. The up tempo really works.
Ned, Jack, I appreciate and respect your all your comments. Keep it coming, that's what we're here for. I think the bland comment was my input.
I've enjoyed listening to all the pieces. Anyone working on the extra Carcassi and Sor?
Ross
