New lesson moderators

Post by GeoffB » Wed Jul 30, 2014 8:55 am

I would like to welcome to Marko Räsänen and Stefan Srećković as moderators of the online lesson forum, and thank them for agreeing to take on the role. They will be the first point of contact for students in future.

My thanks also to the previous moderator, Bob Goodwin, who has now retired from that post, for his excellent work over the past two years.

Marco and Stefan,

Thanks for taking the moderator positions. I can imagine it is a lot of work, so best of luck to you both, again, thanks for doing it.

Thanks, Scott, you're very kind! I'm intending to take a back seat this year and let Marko and Stefan take the strain in this part of the forum, which I'm confident they will do splendidly, but I'm always around if needed, and there is plenty to keep me busy elsewhere on the site.

It's wonderful to see Marko and Stefan, two people who have show such great enthusiasm, step up to take some of the burden from our very overworked Geoff. I regret I was unable to continue but I find the relief from the stress of trying to keep up has eased the attacks of vertigo I was experiencing. I still love playing and hope to follow along with the lessons although it may be on an informal level.

Thank you for all the wishes! Take it easy Bob, and I hope to still see you posting videos, even if not keeping up with the pace. I'm glad to hear that you're feeling better!

I look forward to working with all of you in the new season which I'm guessing starts after Sept 10th, 2014.
