Help finding CD and recommendations please

Post by H2P » Thu Jun 14, 2018 11:10 am

Hi,

I'm trying to source Vincent Lindsey-Clark's Dances and Songs on CD. Any assistance gratefully received!

Also, can anyone recommed:

- a CD collection of Isaias Savio's solo guitar work?
- a CD collection of Isaac Albeniz's solo guitar work (famous stuff -- good introduction to Albeniz)?

Many thanks.

:)

You could ask him - he's on Facebook.

For a few of Albeniz's most "famous" pieces, a must-have CD is Julian Bream's "Granados and Albeniz, Music of Spain" (which is, in my estimation, one of the best CG albums ever recorded...).

If you are not aware, these "famous" Albeniz "solo guitar works" were all originally written for piano, and only later transcribed for guitar (not by Albeniz himself). They sure sound great on guitar, though!

I wasn't aware actually -- thanks -- And I'll definitely check out the Bream recording. I have a CD of his Baroque performances which I really like.
