Hello from Toronto

Well, after a 20 year pause in my classical guitar playing I've decided it was time to get back to it. I loved playing back in my 20's and 30's but eventually family, work and other life distractions took me away from it.
I was a mediocre, intermediate player who tackled many pieces far beyond my capabilities and loved every, frustrating minute of it. Took lessons for a number of years and found that very helpful.
I've recently signed up for a few months of on line training with the Classical Guitar Shed and I'm starting back with the beginning basics hoping to build a stronger foundation of solid technique.
When I was playing 25 years ago there was no "internet" so it's really fun and exciting to be jumping back into things with so much information available and community forums like this one.
I'm playing an old, extremely beat up ,cracked (in three places) inexpensive Takamine that had been buried under clutter of past decades and can hardly wait to upgrade to something new. I'm sure this forum has a few threads on that!
