Hello from Tel Aviv

Post by Royma » Sun Dec 09, 2018 7:48 pm

Hi all,
Im roy, from tel aviv

Im a keyboardist player in my early musical life. 10 years ago i picked up my brother's old Aria classical guitar as my new musical partner for a 5 years backpacking trip around the world. while traveling, ive met amazing guitarists who were kind enough to share their knowledge and teach me how to play guitar. i fell in love with that instrument, that deep nylon string sound. Me and my guitar have shared hundreds of blissed moments while traveling, where every note just felt like its painting the mood of the world.

Nowadays, i still play the same old guitar but am after a new sound. Im very into folk fingerstyle playing, but im also into experimental ambient / shoegaze music. I love to experiment with pedals effects, and my goal now is to broaden the textures of the classical guitar sound with pedals fx, but also to broaden my skills as a classical guitar player, and find ways to combine the two musical styles

Happy to have found this place. Your knowledge is my treasure 😊

Hi Roy,
5 years of backpacking around the world sounds like an incredible adventure. Did you have a favorite place you visited that affected the way you thought about guitar?
