Greetings from Moscow, Russia!

Post by ashumm » Mon Aug 26, 2019 5:24 pm

Hello! My name is Alexey Shumm and I love classical guitar over 30 years, since my childhood.

I've started with classical guitar and later expand my interests for guitar arrangement of jazz melodies, like bossa-nova.
I like classical etudes and classical arrangement of J.S.Bach masterpieces.

Last 4 years I teach basics of guitar for children and adult in Moscow, based on my own method called "Guitar without notes".

I also interested in new instruments and music experiences, and started to learn darbuka (orient hand drum) and didgeridoo (australian tribal instrument)

It was nice to find this forum across the web and I hope that I could participate and find some new colleagues.

Welcome on board. I don't know how many Russian members we have but there are surely a bunch. Apart from giving lessons do you do any concerts in Moscow, in the city area?

Hi, nice to hear from you. Currently I do not give any concerts on guitar, but I hope to start someday...
