Hi from Australia

Post by Bronnie » Wed Sep 04, 2019 11:33 am

Hi,
My name is Bronnie and I'm a budding musician's Mum. My daughter has been playing guitar for 4 years, had a 3/4 Valencia as her very first guitar and now has a Tanglewood TW9 acoustic with pickup (getting more sophisticated as she gets older).
I've registered with this forum to hopefully learn more about acoustic guitars, maybe one day get brave enough to start playing myself and to ask a question about a Japanese guitar I have been given. This guitar has a beautiful sound to it but is a brand I've not heard of before now. I have found very few hits with Google - 2 of those hits were with this forum under a thread about loving Japanese guitars.
Here's hoping I'm allowed to stay ;)
Cheers Bronnie

Hi Bronnie. Welcome to the Delcamp classical guitar forum. No need to be brave to start playing yourself. :guitare: Doubtless you will soon learn that classical guitar generally refers to a guitar with nylon strings, while acoustic guitar generally refers to a guitar with steel strings. They are constructed differently and are best played using distinct techniques. These, of course, are generalisations, but they do have widely accepted validity.

Before you get too deeply into all that, please have a look at our welcome page for more information about the forum and its rules. You need to post a second message to be able to access all the mp3 files and videos in our recording sections, all the members' scores and levels 1 - 3 of the Delcamp score collection, and post your own scores and recordings. After 20 posts you may subscribe to the 020 usergroup with associated membership privileges including access to the higher levels of sheet music in Delcamp's library (see here).

It is helpful if members include their location in their Profile - click on your username and edit.

I hope you find your visits helpful and enjoyable.
