Greetings from Troy, MI

Post by chihchia » Sat Dec 20, 2014 8:59 pm

Hello fellow guitar enthusiasts,

My name is Charles and I live in Troy, MI. I am original from Taiwan. I played classical guitar for a few years in my teenage in Taiwan and I am playing again 20 years after. I am very happy I can find such a good classical guitar resource site and I am looking forward to learning and sharing more here.

Regards,

Charles Lin

Welcome back to the fold, Charles. I recently registered after being a regular guest for several months.
CG is alive and well in MI! If you have not yet done so, I suggest exploring the online presence of the Classical Guitar Society of Michigan. There is a CGSM-sponsored newsletter that covers local CG-related concerts, masterclasses etc. and (in the event you decide to join at some time in the future) a pretty extensive solo an ensemble music library available to members. After summer vacation, the society will resume activities in September. The Plymouth District Library meeting location is a pleasant Sunday drive from Troy, MI. I've had some recent health issues that have prevented me from attending all the sessions, but you will find welcoming, kindred souls there who appreciate all things CG.
