Hello from Chicagoland

Hi everyone!

I have been interested in music for as long as I can remember. I used to play trumpet in middle school and sang in choir from middle school thru high school. I also picked up and continue to fiddle with the piano.

I have been playing guitar for 7 years. Started on electric, then acoustic about a year or so after that. I was very into aacoustic fingerstyle, and developed a knack for fingerpicking after a while. About 2 years ago as a high school senior I became interested in classical guitar and classical music in general, especially Bach Mozart and Handel, as a result of participating in madrigals ,a music theory course, and spending lots of time looking up music by these composers in between beginner students I was teaching at the time. Around new years 2015 I got a classical guitar and began learning.

About 2 months ago I began learning Sor s variations, the piece which inspired me to get into classical guitar, and I am now near finished. The learning process has consumed me and now I'm eager to enhance my knowledge, skill, and interact with others who feel the same about the guitar.

I look forward to using this site!
