A slightly larger body design by one of Granada's finest builders. [http://guitar-renebaarslag-anaespinosa.com
] More in the tradition of Bouchet than other Baarslaag models. Beautiful, punchy open trebles and rich basses; simple straight forward traditional visual aesthetics. This instrument has the warmth and darkness of the cedar top coupled with Brazilian rosewood back and sides. French polish finish. The original hard shell case is included.
I have owned this instrument since purchased new in 2002. Regularly setup by a professional luthier. Kept in humidity controlled environment during the winter. This lovely instrument is in perfect working condition; no damage, no repairs. As noted above, there are surface scratches from my right thumb nail below the sound hole. These could be addressed through refinishing the top, but they are slight.
The instrument is very comfortable to play. The neck, fretboard and setup support ease in the left hand. I am selling this beautiful guitar because I have switched to a smaller scale instrument for classical and playing more steel string. New guitars from Rene Baarslaag are much more expensive.
At request of a few interested parties, I am adding more pictures of the Gotoh tuners. I wanted to add more pictures of the case, but it appears I hit some limit on pictures. I removed some pictures and added a few of the case.
I realized that $2,700 was to much of a gift on this fine instrument. So, I am currently asking $3,500. Well below what I paid for it, and thousands less than a new Baarslaag.
Shipping will be based on standard FedEx rates.
