Essential reading, help topics, rules and announcements.

Please read this first!

Welcome to the classical guitar forum. This forum is entirely free. To make use of its resources, you need to register and then post a message of introduction following your registration. The accounts of new users who have not introduced themselves within a few hours of registering are deleted, and they will need to register again. Usernames should not be company names. To remain a member you need to post at least one message per month and log in to the forum at least once per year. The accounts of members who have not visited the forum for more than a year are deleted on January 1st and July 1st.
Once your first two messages have been approved, you will be entitled to download thousands of scores, MP3s and videos, and you will have the opportunity of following free guitar lessons leading up to an end-of-year exam. Members are required to respect the rules and procedures for participation in the forum.
Whether you are an amateur guitarist, an eternal beginner or a professional, you will find friendliness, competence and a wide range of resources here.

I. Overview of the Forum

What is this forum?
This forum is dedicated to guitarists looking for both mutual support and/or a resource centre. Audio files, videos, scores and online guitar lessons are available here. You may also contribute to the resource centre by publishing your own compositions, arrangements and recordings of classical guitar as long as you strictly observe the rights of composers and editors.

Who can take part?
Only registered users can post messages and download the forum resources. Certain new forums will become available to you once you have posted the required number of messages and subscribed to the appropriate user groups.

Who coordinates the forum?
The forum is coordinated by a staff of administrators and moderators. The essential role of the staff is to organise the daily running of the forum. They also keep watch on the content of threads. They may modify, move or erase without notice any messages that are "off-topic," coarse, offensive or which violate the prevailing laws, and can suspend users who do not respect the rules of the site. This forum is moderated a posteriori, so most messages are read by the moderators after publication. Failure to respect the rules and procedures of the forum can result in the editing or deletion of your posts, or the queueing of your posts (by which they will have to be approved by moderators before appearing on the forum) or ultimately, if necessary, the deletion of your account. The reasons behind any measures taken by the moderators must not be the object of public discussion on the forum. Any criticisms, advice or suggestions should be made solely by private message or email.

How do you navigate through the forum?
The forum is divided into headings sorted by topics. Please check that you post your message under the most appropriate heading.
