Messages containing audio quotations necessarily have to contain the following legal notices: name of the composer, the title and the editor of the work.
If your extract is taken from a CD, it is also compulsory to include the names of the performer(s) and the publisher of the CD.
Messages not fulfilling this legal requirement will be removed. For a score, you can attach a copy of a few measures of the work as a JPG. Messages containing quotations of scores are obliged to contain the following: composer's name, title and publisher. Your scores in JPG, maximum size of 140 KB, are authorized on the forum "Guitar Classes". The images must not exceed a width of 1200 pixels and a height of 3000 pixels.
How to convert your audio recordings to WMA for extracts.
You can use the free program 'dBpowerAMP Music Converter' for Windows. First, download the converter at
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
then install the free version. You do not need the trial version to make the conversions that interest us.
Then you download the "Windows Media Audio" that corresponds to your own Windows software, at
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm
then you install it, start up your computer and your converter is then ready to go. Then launch the dBpowerAMP Music Converter software, select a WAV or MP3 file of maximum 30 seconds and convert it to WMA, ensuring that the resultant size is no greater than 500 KB.
The WMA file format has been chosen for extracts because statistics indicate that 95% among you are Windows users compared with 3% using Macs and 1.2% using Linux.
