Pujol, M. D. - Candombe en Mi

Really great piece by M. D. Pujol from his Cinco Preludios. I'd like to learn them all at some point.

A fine performance, MG. Thanks for posting it!

The Cinco Preludios are quite enjoyable to learn and play, though I'd admit that I don't really like the 1st, Preludio Rockero. I had a lesson with Maestro Pujol back in 2010, and we worked on #2 and #3. I brought the UE edition, and Maximo found a bunch of mistakes in Tristango en vos. Incidentally, Jason Vieaux recorded it as published, complete with the errors!

Enjoy the process!

Oski79,

Thanks for the comments! They are very much appreciated. I am a little envious of your lesson with Maestro Pujol. Interesting about the errors. Are you referring to the Vieaux's Naxos recording? I have that one and will have to give it another listen.

Yes. It was kind of amusing. Maximo and John Duarte were good friends, and Maximo couldn't bring himself to criticize him as he looked over the score. There are measures repeated, out of place, and missing, as well as a wrong note or two in the score.
