I have been practicing this piece for quite some time and still struggling a little with some of the note combinations.
I had noticed some players, such as yourself, were using notes further down the fingerboard - my music theory is so poor I couldn't work this out!
I was unaware of the fact that Edson Lopes has provided two tab versions for his piece. Thank you for pointing this out. I will study the second tab version and see if it helps.

Yeah there are two ways to play this piece. I found the glissando one is the perfect one.
Its a sad piece and the glissando gives a weeping feeling. Edson himself play like this.
Try it out its no big deal of changing the positions. You just need to get use to it.
