Isbin, Gilbert - Tombeau For Narciso Yepes

Post by RobMacKillop » Tue Dec 11, 2018 10:05 pm

A beautiful piece for 10-string guitar from one master to another. This comes from his edition, 12 Compositions for 10-string Guitar in Yepes' Tuning.

Love the guitar. The piece; just as I begin to think I've figured it out, it takes a turn. Very interesting, I'll have to listen to it a couple of times.

Thanks, bear. It has a blues/jazz influence - not that Yepes was associated with this, but the composer likes to express himself this way at times. I'm pleased you listened to it!
