Madera, Jorge - Solo para Nosotros - Video

Post by spronev » Sat Feb 07, 2009 7:14 am

Another very nice piece by Jorge Madera (http://www.houtsma.nl/guitar/) - posted with permission by the author. This is piece #22 from a collection of 23 pieces.

My videos are available on youtube - search for spronev.

Thanks for listening and hoping that some of you will try some of Jorge Madera's pieces - all 23 are really good and very distinctive.

I really enjoyed listening to this piece spronev... and beautifully played as well
Is all Jorge's music so lovely?... it's so easy on the heart :D
Just on a personal note, although it probably suits the piece, I would have preferred a little less reverb... but as I said, that's just my own personal taste... it doesn't detract from the music at all

Thank you for sharing... I loved it!

Thanks Everyone,

Yes, Jorge's pieces are all very nice and they are not very difficult to play - I hate to have to struggle through a piece for weeks/months and still be not where I'd like to be with it after that long. About the reverb - some people like more and some people like less of it. For someone who plays really well (in terms of right hand tone production) it is not that necessary but for me some reverb is needed to make for something that I can listen to afterwards. This piece in particular sounds not too bad without reverb as well but some other pieces sound way too flat and choppy when I play them with no reverb. I just like the fullness of the sound with the reverb. I hope that some day I will play better and not need as much reverb but keeping in mind that I haven't taken any lessons since I was a kid I'm not sure that's coming.
