i'm struggling to keep motivated until the classes start again guys. Any advise
I do every year Ian. Seems I thrive on the monthly deadlines and assignments. I plan ahead for summer but seldom meet my plans. This summer is easy. First I have to finish D07 lessons 9 and 10. Then I need to go back to lesson 1 and learn all the pieces I loved but butchered along the way and learn them right.
It helps if the class stays together and has some continuing goals for the summer. In the past there was “Learn a piece a week” or let’s “Study Sor Opus XX Together”. I think the community aspect and sharing videos is one of the best parts of Delcamp.
I had a great treat this week. Pepe Romero came to my town. Tonight we will see him play Concierto de Aranjuez. Monday he gave a master class. He is such a passionate and articulate teacher, one could not help but get motivated in his presence!
All this time I thought I was making music; it was making me.
