Good job for only 7 days, Charles. Tempo is very steady which is great. Your tempo will get faster. It seems your sight reading is great. Don't miss your daily practice.
Happy playing! :guitare:

Cheers,
Ken

Thanks Ken. It’s been tough getting the practice in. Competes with work. I really enjoyed your video. You are playing very good. Did the baby banging on the door have anything to do with your speed? LOL!!

Hi, all.
This was good practice for left pinky. Chromatic scales helped a lot for this tune. Rhythm wasn't really steady, which was between 105~115 bpm. No articulation but concentrated on legato. All the halftone made me quite complicated. Was good sight reading practice.

Happy playing! :guitare:

Cheers,
Ken

Never mind. I deleted my post. Its not the technology that is giving me fits. I’m my own worst enemy some days. I’ll be caught up with you all in a flash.

I wasn't sure I still memorize this Layenda Theme from his book 1(free download and Youtube lessons). Not sure it is ok to upload here. It sure was excited to play.
Hi Ken
I've removed your video.
Although Leyenda is out of copywrite, specific editings of it are not.

Now that Ken has got things going, I will follow suite. Here are my Lesson 2 submissions.
Judy,
in the damping exercise are you placing your finger/thumb immediately back on the string - note shown as x - as the other thumb/finger plays, a sort of rocking motion to damp the string not being played. On your video it sounds as though the strings are ringing on rather than being damped.
Sorry if I'm not hearing it correctly, otherwise good to practice.
Colin

Thanks Colin. I thought I was damping the string. I will definitely continue to practice. Your valuable advice helps improve my technique and does not dampen my enthusiasm. Thanks, Judy.

Hi Judy, Nice going with the MalagueΓ±a. Please note your RH finger technique. Try plucking from the largest finger joint. This will force your hand away from the strings, shape your hands like you're holding an egg, and relax and free your fingers. Regards, Nelson.

Hi Charles,

Nice start on MalagueΓ±a. Please refer to my comments for Judy Verbeeten on her RH fingering. I have been trying to change this me my RH as well. Bend at the largest knuckle of each finger. I believe this will open your sound. Regards, Nelson.
