Don't you hate it when . . .

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

I did something foolish! I own a metal fabrication shop. One of the things we make is pipe flanges. I have a ring and circle shear that cuts them out, and we use an ironworker to punch bolt slots in them. The punch and die sometimes will leave a razor sharp burr on the edge of the slots. We grind them smooth. ....except the ones that we miss. I wasn't looking, and grabbed one that had been had missed......and, of course, I didn't have gloves on. I had gotten up from my desk to go into the shop to measure something. I didn't take the 5 seconds it would have taken to slip my gloves on.

Sorry to hear about your thumb. Will it effect your playing?

No. The cut is on the end, but on the side away from where I play.....at the right edge of the nail. .....the part that I use to button a shirt, button my pants, tie my shoe, unlatch a seat belt, etc.

That's good news. I do a lot of work on my rentals and always worry about getting injured; and it's so easy to do. Like accidents, or unplanned adversity it just happens. Hope your recovery goes smooth and you get back to normal. Watch out for infection.
Regards,
David

Don't you hate it when you call customer support (in my case my health insurance company today) and you always talk to someone with a thick foreign accent and you have a hard time understanding everything they say? Pfft, give me someone who speaks clear English. Even In & Out Burger hires people who can communicate better than that.

Don't you hate cryptic thread subject titles that require that you click on the thread in order to see what it's about? For example, I just saw a new thread titled, "This is kind of fun." Just spell it out in the title what "this" is.

But I guess this very thread is like that, lol.

Don’t you hate eating a McDonalds burger from a box while driving.

Yes, a wrapper is a lot better. If I get In & Out Burger, I say no onions and light spread or else the hamburger tends to slide around in my hand while I'm driving.

Another don't you hate - Don't you hate it when the perforations on a bill pay stub are right next to the fold in the paper, so when you go to tear it off it rips in the wrong spot?

Don't you hate it when furniture you tried in the showroom was really comfortable but when you get the new of the same delivered to your home it feels really uncomfortable?

If you think that's annoying you're going to really hate it when your vehicle is written off and family injured due to the idiot that drove into the side of you attempting to eat a slippery hamburger at the wheel ...

...you're driving your car, and walking towards you along the footpath you spot an attractive female. But while you're trying to get a better look, there's a tree or power pole blocking your view, and the speed at which you're driving, together with the speed at which she's walking, means the obstacle is always in the way and you never get another look.

But as you approach closer you realize it's a guy that you were attracted to.
