Netflix recommendations?

Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

We really enjoyed The Crown. Also the Netflix documentary Wild Wild Country was very interesting.

"The Haunting of Hill House". Brilliantly done...but definitely not based on the book, except obliquely.

Accept it for what it is and you'll love it.

I'll have to check it out. I consider The Haunting to be the scariest film I've ever seen.
Episode 8 is worth watching twice: it's about an hour long, but done in a mere four scenes/takes: blocking and camera work are incredible, as are the actors.

I just finished the entire season today. I didn't think anything could come close to topping the 1963 original, but this came pretty dang close. I have a high standard for horror but this made me realize I was alone when I was watching it. I'll have to let it stew for a while before I give my final verdict, but brilliant recommendation!

El Ministerio del Tiempo (The Ministry of Time). It's a Spanish time travel series.
The Churchmen (Ainsi Soient-Ils) a French series about 5 young Catholic seminarians. You don't need to be religious or Catholic to enjoy this.
The Vietnam War by Ken Burns.

Another recommendation for "Bodyguard"--a tense political thriller from the BBC.

I second these positive statements on the series Manhunt: Unabomber, particularly the last two or three episodes displaying the psychological background of Ted Kaczynski's horrendous criminal career are fantastic.

The unibomber hits home to me since I live in Montana part time and have driven through Lincoln where his cabin was.
