I am a recent hearing aid user and opted for the small British National Health option, but reading all of your valuable input, I now realise why there is a colossal price difference for the smart phone adjustable models, I have had mine for 5 months and take them off to play guitar and clarinet because the guitar sounds tinny and with the clarinet I can hear all the air movement in my ears and head. Reading your comments makes me think I should leave them in and try to get used to this new world of tinny music. I also belong to an accordion club and most players leave their earphones out, i must admit we have some very strange conversations with the older very deaf members. There is a lot of nodding and you soon realise that they have not a clue what you are talking about. I am one of the youngest at 74 and we have players up to 90 years old. But aren’t we blessed to have this world of music which we can all enjoy because of modern technology.
