Thank you for sharing, this encourages me to show my appreciation a little more. I play at a weekly music club in which we all play, after each solo we clap, but perhaps we should have a “wow” every so often.
The amazing thing in the news story is that the boy is autistic, music is very powerful.

His "wow" was so authentic and spontaneous. I wouldn't want everyone to start saying gratuitous "wows." But I hear ya, it's nice to give the music played the appreciation it deserves.

I thoroughly agree. It was special because of that. On hearing it, you can sense just how much the lad was affected. And, through him, it evidently affirmed expressed and enhanced the audience's experience too. For those of us not fortunate to be at the concert, it does not matter, as we can feel that we all shared a little in it, and know how it went in the heart-warming way he let us know.
