Zach Braff's 2004 film "Garden State". It first appears when the characters are watching a videotape of Natalie Portman's character, Sam, figure skating in an alligator costume to an organ rendition. Then used a second time when Peter Sarsgaard is plucking out a few notes on a guitar.

Haha, really? Had to check that out for sure. Searched “garden state alligator skating scene” (on utoob) and there it was. Stupendous!
