Talk about things that are not necessarily related to music or the guitar.

A French soft cheese called 'Badoz Vacherin Du Haut', with some Cornish Wafers and a cup of instant coffee. This cheese is new to me. It is almost liquid inside the edible crust, quite mild but very tasty, and wrapped in a strip of spruce bark. It comes in a wooden box, which is just as well or it would have escaped onto the table.
I would recommend it very highly!

Oh, and a home-made mince pie to follow.
Mont d 'Or cheese (origin Jura, France) served hot, with potatoes and cold meats.
A treat for the palate, but also for arteries and cholesterol !

With a good green salad, then an apple pie flambéed with Calvados.( apple alcohol)

Home made soutzoukakia. A Greek meat ball in red sauce meal with cumin amongst other things.

Breakfast. I sautéed chopped onion, mushroom, yellow bell pepper, and tomato in olive oil. Added a clove of garlic and cracked two eggs on top of the veggies and turned the heat down......then sprinkled feta over that and let it simmer over low heat until the eggs were partially cooked. I "folded" it over in a plate, and had a slice of rye bread with butter on it, to "clean up" the plate with.

WOW! Seafood lasagna. I’ve just been to a reception for the sponsors of the Pamlico Musical Society, and Dave, from “M & M’s Cafe” catered it. It was at the Village Gallery in Oriental, and the food was excellent.

I just ate the breakfast buffet at, "Brantley's Village Restaurant," in Oriental, NC. .....scrambled eggs, country fried potatoes, sausage gravy, bacon, sausage, a biscuit, a banana nut muffin and a bowl of fried apples. ......if I get a good snack, I think I'll make it until lunch??? :D

Just finished lunch. Today is my wife's birthday, and she wanted, "shrimp & grits" for lunch. :D
We went to Mayo's Seafood Restaurant in Bayboro, and had the best shrimp & grits I've had in a while.

Two grilled pork chops, boiled potatoes, baked beans, a roll and a slice of lemon pound cake. A local church had a fund raiser to help pay some medical bills for a young person with a brain tumor, and I bought plates for all the guys that work for me, and their families......and also made an additional donation.
I think this is the first fund raiser I can remember that served grilled pork chops. Around here it's usually eastern style barbeque (....pig with a vinegar-based sauce).
