Romsey Abbey & Guitar by Candlelight

Post by lucy » Thu Jul 19, 2018 9:47 pm

I'm very pleased to say I'm giving another lunchtime concert, in Romsey Abbey, on Tuesday 4th September.

But before that, I'll be doing something a little different:

An evening performance in The Art House cafe, Southampton, Thursday 9th August - "Guitar by Candlelight". [A shot in the dark (pun intended) - I've no idea how it will go down!]

I've agreed that "Guitar by Candlelight" is a fundraiser for The Art House and they're now selling tickets, for a meal, on special offer. Amended poster above.

If anyone's local, it would be nice to see you. :)

Jason Buck, Storyteller, drew this lovely sketch while I played at "Guitar by Candlelight". :)

Yes, I did. It went very well, but I've only created a little compilation this time, to give a flavour of the event.

There's a surprise 45 seconds in...

Nice one - seemed like you were all having fun when the mandolin came out.

Yes, we were! :)

I was by no means sure I should be doing a sing-a-long with a ukulele, at the end, but thought I'd try it.

A friend who came along said, everyone loved it and it was a "stroke of genius"!!

Ukulele, sorry - it looked like a mandolin at that angle!

Hi Again

The Romsey Advertiser wrote a piece regarding my Romsey Abbey recital today, including a plug for Romsey Festival. :)

(By the way, the bit about my educational background isn't quite correct!)

The highly compressed PNG file below is a bit difficult to read, but you can read clearly here:
