Berta Rojas - Interview

Post by MiguelF » Mon Jan 07, 2019 7:39 pm

I recently did a video interview with Berta Rojas. We talked about her unique academic pedigree, the music of Agustín Barrios Mangoré which she recorded on her 1998 album, Intimate Barrios, how Manuel Barrueco was an influence on her playing Robert Ruck guitars. We also talked about Michael O’Leary guitars and her transition from D’Addario Strings to Savarez strings. She also plays and sings!

Here is the link:

Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing! I have watched her Barrios DVD several times -- I never get tired of it. :merci:

Her Barrios DVD is amazing! She is definitely one of my favorite guitarists.

Also, she is an amazing person and gives off a positive vibe.

After the interview, when I shut off the camera, she told me, “This is for you.” And played Ca’azapa by Agustín Barrios for me... just for me.

It’s a moment that I will treasure forever.
