A simple tune from Venezuela , El Negrito translates as "the little black boy" and was the pet name Lauro used for his son . He wrote this in prison after being incarcerated for his political beliefs .
I dedicate this to those who follow their beliefs to their own detriment .

This piece is always in my repertoire folder that I play everyday, but not knowing its history.

Well played and thanks for sharing.

Can't the OP post a video of himself performing this piece, or am I missing something else?
