lawler - i do a lot of tree work with my job so i love my chainsaws - got 14! this one is a mcculloch 850 promac circa 1980.

I second Intune's comment about the clean execution of the trills.

lawler - i do a lot of tree work with my job so i love my chainsaws - got 14! this one is a mcculloch 850 promac circa 1980.

I see, looking that up, that it's a classic. Mine is just a modest Craftsman (16 inch bar) I bought in 1997. I also recently got a Ryobi pole saw that has been handy.

Some chap on YouTube with a woolly hat - mesirca? The trills aren't too difficult just played like tremolo across two strings. Although the trill omits the lower note it gives the impression of a continuous trill.

When I saw Alberto Mesirca playing (he must be outdoor in Holland), i liked very much his trills across 2 strings. It is more powerful and it is more balanced with the rest. I am just learning the piece but I wonder what is the best fingering? I use i m for the trill and the thumb for the rest.

Hi Robert,
This us how I play the trills. Pami just like a tremolo accross two strings. For almost all the other cross string trills I use paim pattern.
