Hello, Rob and Co.

Here is my 3rd attemtp on Russian guitar tuning, this time with those Sychra Variations you've already recorded. The theme has a musical worm-like feature - it's stuck on my ear and I keep singing it all day long...

Well done, Rui! Good playing. I could do with seeing more of the guitar and less of your ear :-) But the playing is excellent. I couldn't see, but are you using Sychra's fingering?

Thank you Rob. Yes, I must improve my filming skills. Or hire an assistant :D

Yes, I followed the original fingerings, except for the left thumb - this guitar has a wide neck. Tomorrow I'll try a new recording (now, featuring my favourite ear, the left one ;)

So I watched Rob’s video and the next thing I know hours of Russian classical guitar videos appear on my suggested playlist. Is that creepy or what?
I mean it is cool because I had no idea there was so much Russian classical guitar music to enjoy and explore. I’m still freaked out somewhat by the power of algos.

Hello, Rob and Co.
New video, now with both hands instead of right ear ;)

Excellent, Rui. Really much more enjoyable to watch, and to listen to as well. We interpret the glissando differently in the Theme, bar 4. I play the f# again after the chord. But the world is big enough for both of us :-)

Onto the next one, whatever that is.

Very nice. Sounds like a fortepiano, which I like a lot. Good to see you still working through Morkov's Method, Rui. I need to get back to it. I wish the Government would extend the working day to 40 hours, THEN I might have time!
