Post by nader » Wed Sep 21, 2005 8:48 pm

This is a part from notation Aranjuez Adagio for Rodrigo
I saw video for Narciso yepes playing it
and I want to know how to play this part
Mr narciso playin on tow strings ( F and E notes on 1st String , Re note on 2nd String)
so which fingers of right hand I must to use
and what is the technique for that ( are there pull off and hammer on in playing the notes on the 1st String )

yes that section is done using hammer ons and pulloffs, that was the way John Williams did it on TV the other week anyway.

I would be very hard to pick everysingle note

Ok as you can see in the Left hand he uses 121, hammering on pulling off like a trill on the e string and holds down d on the second or b string with his third finger. In the Right hand m plays on the e string and i on the the b string. You do this with free strokes so both strings continue to ring. The trick is to get it even. That i finger has to hit its mark to get a continuous flow of sixteenth notes. As is the usual recommendation do it slowly until you feel the co-ordination. By the way could you post the link for the whole concerto? I only got to see Yepes once in the 80's.

when I combination hammer on nad pull off ,dose to pluck E note in
every time make this combination
by another way : after pluck D note I'll pluck E note then hammer on & pull off ,then pluck D note then pluck E note then hammer on & pull off ...etc is this true ?
