Strains in my Right Arm

Post by LukeMarsden » Wed Aug 24, 2016 2:46 pm

Hi all,

I'm getting some serious strains in my right arm and nerves (just above my right wrist)

Is this normal when practicing for a couple of hours everyday?

PS - I am a student!

PPS - Can anyone recommend any relaxing or de-stressing advice??????

Have a look at this video I did on scales, look at how your fingers move away from the guitar and see if you can find a difference between movement away from the strings and movement on the strings. You must have the same level of relaxation.

Just a thought.

Check where your arm is resting on the guitar. Sometimes nerves get pinched there. Perhaps some padding might help or help diagnose.
There's one in every crowd.
