Thank you so much. :D

Live performance and practise work together. If you practise, you perform better - and if you perform, it inspires you to practise. The crucial thing about live performance, is the feedback and response from audiences. I've been lucky enough to have had quite a lot of positive comments, for which I'm very grateful. It is absolutely not all about practise. In fact, learning how to perform is another skill, all of its own.

If only I had a room like that at home! King John's House is a beautiful medieval building.

Thank you Kurt!

I've just posted a couple of others: Carcassi Etude in A and Julia Florida. There are others on my YouTube channel, but I can't post them on Delcamp, because they're not in the public domain. :contrat:

Thank you so much Traveller. Yes, it's absolutely stunning music!! :casque:

"Entertaining"? Not sure what you meant by that. I'd certainly like to be entertaining!

Please let me know what you found entertaining about it. I'm not being sarcastic - not at all. I'm genuinely interested in the feedback. :)

Great playing Lucy. Just some note for improvement, try to bring out the bass more, keep up the good work.

Thank you for your comments Rob. :)

100% agree with that. It was certainly my intention to make more of the bass line, but it's just how it panned out that day. I played it again, on the second day of the event and the bass line was more prominent that time. However, I chose to upload this version because it had qualities that, as a whole, made it a better overall performance.

I want to get to the point where I can achieve what I'd like in public performance, practically all the time. Of course, there will be exceptions!!

Actually, there's another thing about the bass line. I didn't always hold the crotchet for exactly the right length. (ie. crotchet + quaver rest).

There are a couple of places where that's not possible, because I have to move my left hand and also, I've no intention of stopping the Ds in the first 3 bars, (and subsequent occurances of this music in different guises), because I want to imitate the ringing bass notes of a lute. It's my view that in all the other bars, there is much more forward movement in melody line, so it actually sounds quite good to "play" the quaver rests.

Just my thoughts on the matter!

You performed it very nice.
I, too played it formerly not just as good as you.
As far as I'm concerned , according to to the baroque music playng convention, Improvisational notes might be played with a speed somewhat at your comfort and not strictly metric, and it would be heard more natural.
With confidence better.
Thanks. :D
