Acupuncture's worked well for me as well along with glucosamine and chondrotin. I also follow a gluten free diet which has a huge positive effect on reducing joint pain. I can't take NSAIDs so that rules out a lot of the standard treatments. The other things which help are playing related, don't play for too long at a time, think about what happens between the notes and use that to relax the hand, remember there's no harm in missing out notes or refingering.
