Tárrega, Francisco - Prelude No. 11 in Dmaj - D06

Post by tateharmann » Fri Jul 14, 2017 2:10 am

Still having a go at the no-nails with gut and silk strings approach. It's not easy - but the sound is so mellow and sweet, it's worth the effort. I like this little prelude as it can expose quite a large tonal range on the guitar.

It certainly is!! :casque: Absolutely lovely Tate. :bravo:

I'm amazed that I'm the first to respond to this!

You do get a wonderful round and full tone without nails. Very sweet! I tend to play this prelude faster than your version here; thanks for showing me how great it sounds slowed down some. Take time and bring out the notes! is what I need to do.

Your tone is very sweet and mellow indeed, such a big pleasure to hear this gut and no-nails sound!

What a great sound, and what a great little piece.
One more for the long list of "what to learn next"!

Very sweet.
I find these mp3s take a while to load, then I got distracted by something before playing your recording. By the time I’d played it back I’d forgotten your notes about no nails and gut strings, which I did not notice while playing it back a couple times. Lovely piece. Sounded great.

Thanks folks for the comments :)

Smith: I wonder why the mp3's take so long to load for you? They load very fast on whatever device I seem to be using.

I don’t think it is because of the mp3 itself. I’m using wi-fi, but also I often have other feeds and/or downloads in progress.

Ah that could be a factor ;)

I always thought it would be a nice feature to have a delcamp radio area of the site where it would play/shuffle recordings of our members here. You could shuffle based on poster, composer, instrument...etc.
