Hi Robert,
This us how I play the trills. Pami just like a tremolo accross two strings. For almost all the other cross string trills I use paim pattern.
Very kind of you! Thank you desperado. I have understood how to do it. I prefer to play the pimi tremolo though, as it is on two strings. In fact I was playing the trill imim with the p played at the same time as the first i, not in the tremolo way.

K 1 is one of the Scarlatti sonatas I learned together with my teacher. I play the Leo Brouwer version without cross string ornaments. As in the Brouwer edition trills are executed with finger 1 and 2 or 1 and 4 the sound is quite strong and vibrant. But of course Mesirca's playing of this sonata is gorgeous and absolutely brilliant.

Nice Scarlatti playing! I sometimes think I need more Scarlatti in my life. Back in the 80s there was tons on the radio and I miss it, especially on what they called “Organ Thursdays”. Every Thursday was Organ Day and they played lots and lots of Scarlatti. I think I will look for a Scarlatti channel on YouTube.
