My name is Jim Carpenter. I'm 75 years old, and I've played guitars off and on for many years, but never as seriously as now, to which I credit Tom Heany's book, First, Learn to Practice. Wonderfully inspirational!

I play a Cordoba Cadete 3/4 size guitar, and am studying without lessons for now using the Thomas Noad (first name may not be right) method. I like the lesson plan very much.

Hello Walkersdad. Welcome to the forum. Many of us have used Frederick Noad's "Solo Guitar Playing" to help us learn.

Please begin with a look at our welcome page for more information about the forum and its rules. You need to have posted a second message to be able to access all the mp3 files and videos in our recording sections, all the members' scores and levels 1 - 3 of the Delcamp score collection, and to post your own scores and recordings. After 20 posts you may subscribe to the 020 usergroup with associated membership privileges including access to the higher levels of sheet music in Delcamp's library (see here).

It is helpful if members include their location in their Profile - click on your username and edit.

Enjoy your visits.
