Here's an upbeat piece for you: Suite Colombiana No. 2 "El Porro" by Gentil Montaña, played by 3 different guitarists. Which one do you like best? There are other examples on YT so check those out also

What about The Mysterious Barricades by François Couperin. There's a terrific rendition on Youtube by fellow forum member Matthew McAllister. This piece always fills me with joy especially the way Matthew plays it. I'm not sure how difficult it is to play though?

I was also thinking about the Mysterious Barricades. I like Yates’ transcription.
Another interesting one is Bach BWV 1033 originally for Flute and Basso Continuo. Here’s the second movement:

Sons Da Carrilhoes (Sound Of Bells) by Julio Guimaraes/Pernambuco. Incorrectly labeled for many years as a Villa Lobos Choro No.2. Find an arrangement with the proper rhythm. First measure should be (F#-D) 8th note 16th note tied to quarter note...not two 16th notes. PM me for a good arrangement.

Hi Amy

My copy is in a collection called Best of guitar classics edited by Martin Hegel. It really is a lovely piece.

How about the Joropo from Merlin's Suite del Recuerdo? It has really fun driving Venezuelan rhythms.
