Thanks Olga! I worked on it a bit more and posted an update below. And, I used a metronome as you suggested (great minds think alike!), working on small parts that gave me trouble. I think we are on the same page for sure. Ken suggested I slow it a bit and try some Rubato, which I also attempted ( not sure I'm happy with the results of that). But I am happy with the upload. Thanks for listening and the suggestions.OlgaVovk wrote: ↑Wed Aug 21, 2019 1:07 amHi Tom,
it souds reaaly nice for me.
I love the soubd of your guitar,
it is very clean.
I think you might get better with this piece if you use metronome and get stick with it for some time.
Also if you work in small chunks, e.g 2-3 measures + metronome.
It might give you very pleasant results. And in tone control too
Hello Jules. I'll echo Ed's remarks. Glad you are ok and ready to get back into this program.Jules Wilkins wrote: ↑Fri Aug 23, 2019 2:30 amGreetings to Tom and Ed, from a voice from the past.
Yep...I dropped out after being robbed and having to travel back and forth between cities. Not a great excuse really, but it emphasizes the admiration I have for the two of you. Great to see your progress.
Tom...Moderator...good on you!
I plan on starting up again in September when registration is opened. Time to regrow those calluses and limber the fingers again, and of course be challenged and encouraged by my fellow students.
