Dowland, John - Mistris Winters Jumpe - D04 Video

Post by Jean-François Delcamp » Wed Sep 23, 2009 11:06 am

Hi,
WebCam : Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000
Microphone : Neuman KM 184

http://www.vimeo.com/6716651

Here is Dowland’s score: http://www.delcamp.net/pdf/1_renaissanc ... _jumpe.pdf

PS : ce matin, il y a un beau soleil de septembre à Brest. Cet enregistrement est sans prétention. Juste pour me rapprocher de vous le temps d'une vidéo.
:aide: Please, can you translate my words ?

I will take a stab at the French to English:
French:
ce matin, il y a un beau soleil de septembre à Brest. Cet enregistrement est sans prétention. Juste pour me rapprocher de vous le temps d'une vidéo.
My guess:
This morning here in Brest there was a beautiful September sun. This recording is unpretentious. I just wanted to put this video up at this time for you.

Any francophiles out there? How did I do?

Thank you Mr. Delcamp for your pleasant gift to us. I enjoyed every second of it. :merci:

@segoviajr07, your translation is very accurate. Thank you for the translation. French is a beautiful language, but also difficult.

That was lovely, Mssr. Delcamp! You look like you are full of joy. :D

I never noticed that you play left handed!

Thank you for taking time to share this with us. I know how busy you must be.

Alan

ps. I haven't done much research, but was it only women who did all the "jumping" in those days?

Thank you sir, it was very enjoyable to see and hear you play. :D

You are indeed a lefty--how interesting.

How are you supporting your guitar in the correct playing position? I could not figure that out from watching the video.
