Belgium luthier: Stefan Vandenhoudt ( Quint Top Guitar)

just wonder anyone here know anything about this so called Quint Top guitar by this Belgium luthier.

It is built with 5 layers of top... Sound like a over-engineered double top???

From the description, it's a double top using slightly different materials. Sounds intriguing, but the proof would be in the playing, obviously.

I play one of Steven probably earlier guitar (ca. 2010 I guess). Difficult to say though how it compares to other double top. Basses are very loud and responsive, though trebles are a bit dime.

Isn't that also called plywood?

yes, I bought the guitar directly from the Steven himself, and he was telling (as far as I remember) that it was a plywood. Also he was also telling (seems to me) that there was kind of plywood for the back side as well

Time has passed so fast... I could not even I started this thread so many years ago. Just happen to come in as I just returned empty handed from Belgium this morning.
