Tárrega, Francisco - ¡Adelita! Mazurka - D07

Post by mike_hudson » Sat May 27, 2006 6:12 pm

Hello All ~ trying to pay my dues at learning the standard repertoire and have decided this is about as far as Im going to get on this one. The performance notes indicate that the opening theme should have a "sighing tempo" and lots of rubato. So please bear with the first few measures, the tempo will improve I promise  Thanks for listening, Mike

Wow, mike - i like it very, very much! :mouton: :merci:

It's not my favorite piece, but when you play it, i can hear it again and again.:casque:

Just a little bit work on the tricky parts, and it's p e r f e c t.

Hey Mike!! :okok: that's really coming along!!

I don't really mind the "sighs" in the first pass through section 1 but I'd probably not be quite so different on the repeat (and I really prefer pass 2 through section 1). Still you accoplished what I think you were shooting for so that's what's really important now anyway. Remembering that it is a Lento piece as well!!

ALso - I THINK (dangerous at the best of times) that Adelita is a mazurka - just as a note if that helps with the phrasing and stuff.

All in all I'd say GREAT pass at it and a terrific addition to the OWMP for this one!!
